Adrian Tait moved to Boone in 2005 to be closer to the mountains and the adventures they provide. He studied building science and appropriate technology at Appalachian State and has a passion for helping clients design homes that inspire. With encouragement from his wife he started a small residential design business in 2007 to focus on little green homes and has designed dozens of homes in the high country area. Adrian initially teamed up with IONCON to design the first shipping container home to be built in the state of North Carolina. He went on to work on projects as small as picnic shelters and as large as eco-communities. Recently, he has worked as a regional director in the workforce development field leading a team of more than 200 people at career centers throughout North Carolina and Virginia. Adrian, Heidi and their son Rowan fill their playtime with outdoor adventures and herding their three cats.
